Company History

North Star Systems, Inc. was founded in 1997 by the management team of SRT Electro-Optics, Inc. to provide commercial, industrial, and military (defense) customers with advanced electronic hardware and software design engineering to support our customer's design team during product development and manufacturing.

Located in the Pelham suburb of Birmingham, AL North Star is a Small Business, aggressive, responsive, and experienced.  North Star's talented engineers and technicians have experience in circuit design, software programming for embedded systems, electro-optics, servo controls, video signal processing and camera control, and much more.  Contact North Star.

North Star's personnel have developed stabilized weapon platforms for guns, missile seekers, video trackers, airborne data collection systems, wired and wireless serial communications systems, video recording equipment controllers, and video editing controllers, and user-programmable servo controllers.

   Over the years, North Star has provided engineering services to design CCAs, to develop embedded software algorithms and real-time software for a variety of applications hosted on several digital signal processors and microcontrollers.  In many cases, North Star has designed custom printed wiring boards for OEMs.  North Star's engineers have helped companies reverse-engineer products and develop new electronic products for manufacturing.  We can design a circuit, develop a software solution, or provide a whole integrated system for you, too.
