Optical Sights

We build optical sights with zoom TV and dual field-of-view IR sensors, and laser rangefinders.

Servo Controls

Our servo controllers come in a variety of configurations, some using Pentium processors, others using embedded digital signal processors.

Gyro-Stabilization

North Star has a long history of developing stabilized gimbals, seekers, and platforms for optical sensors.  We have experience with conventional mechanical gyros, fiber-optic gyros, and all the signal processing (both analog and digital) necessary to extract outstanding performance from any gimbal system.

Mechanical Design

We have designed high-performance electro-mechanical gimbals, zoom and dual field-of-view changers, and optical benches.  We know how to package sensors for flightworthiness, and to survive and perform in rugged military environments.
